EM•1® has shown significant effects in reducing the odor of livestock waste and in accelerating the conversion into manure compost. In the livestock industry, animals are raised in overcrowded conditions in order to increase production, which leads to stress and to many harmful effects. However if EM•1® is sprayed in livestock pens, pollution from harmful microorganisms can be eliminated. The environment within the pens and the internal microflora of the livestock can both be improved, which in turn leads to a reduction of stress on the animals, higher quality milk, meat, eggs, and the suppression of diseases. Research has shown that EM•1® is completely safe to apply inside barns and pens, and can be mixed in the drinking water and feeds to promote overall health of the animals.
